Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a Classroom Assistant / Behaviour Mentor for a SEMH setting in Walsall. You will work 1-2-1 and in small groups with KS3 & KS4 students, supporting teachers and fellow TAs to manage behaviours and provide academic support.

A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning is essential. Experience as a Classroom Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEMH or challenging behaviours.
• Proven ability to engage KS3/KS4 students in a classroom setting.
• Ability to work with a team of Teaching Assistants and class teachers.

Responsibilities

• Support challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis
• Deliver 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours
• Help students reengage with education
