The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a Classroom Assistant / Behaviour Mentor for a SEMH setting in Walsall. You will work 1-2-1 and in small groups with KS3 & KS4 students, supporting teachers and fellow TAs to manage behaviours and provide academic support.
A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning is essential. Experience as a Classroom Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor is valued.
Are you a Classroom Assistant or Behaviour Mentor looking for a new challenge within an excellent SEMH school? This school is looking for a Classroom Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to work on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with Key Stage 3 & 4 students that have SEMH needs and can display challenging behaviours. The role of a Classroom Assistant at this school is to motivate and inspire young people who have faced barriers to education. You will be supporting the class teacher and working closely with a team of experienced Teaching Assistants to manage classroom behaviours and provide academic support for students.
As a Classroom Assistant at this school, you will be acting as a positive role model for young people who have struggled to engage with education. The school will provide you with any additional resources to training that you require to motivate young people. All you need is experience working with challenging behaviours, a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning, resilience and a smile. This role requires previous experience as a Classroom Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor.
