Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a Classroom Assistant / Behaviour Mentor for a SEMH school in Walsall. You will work 1-2-1 and in small groups with Key Stage 3 & 4 students who have SEMH needs and display challenging behaviours.

You’ll support the class teacher and collaborate with a team of Teaching Assistants to manage behaviours and provide academic support. Ideal candidates have experience with challenging behaviours, a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning, resilience

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Classroom Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor.

Responsibilities

• Support challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis.
• Work as a Behaviour Mentor / Classroom Assistant.
• Act as a positive role model for students.
• Deliver 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours.
• Help students re-engage with education.
