Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant for a brand-new specialist SEMH school opening in Esher, Surrey. The role supports pupils aged 7-17 with SEMH and MLD, providing 1:1 and small-group assistance to help them engage, regulate emotions and learn effectively.

The job runs 8:30am-4:30pm on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract starting September. A current right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS are required; salary is £110 per day with paid holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH/SEND.
• Confident supporting pupils with behaviours that may challenge.
• Calm, patient and resilient under pressure.
• Passionate about helping young people succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and emotional regulation.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work alongside teachers and the wider pastoral team to implement individual support plans.
• Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
