Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Behaviour Specialist for a dynamic SEMH setting in South Liverpool. This full-time role supports pupils with complex behavioural needs and requires resilience, initiative and a deep commitment to helping young people re-engage with learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in PRUs, SEMH schools, or youth work settings.
• Confidence managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation.
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset and strong team ethic.
• Ability to stay calm, consistent, and compassionate in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, trauma, and challenging behaviours
• Leading de-escalation, regulation, and restorative strategies
• Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, structured environment
• Building trust and consistency through clear boundaries and positive relationships
