Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to assist pupils in KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one and small-group basis. You will work with the class teacher on planning, adapt resources, and help students regulate emotions to stay engaged in learning.

In this role you will apply restorative practices to promote positive behaviour and collaborate with therapists and staff in a trauma-informed setting, supporting safeguarding and inclusive education throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience working with challenging children.
• Excellent skills in behaviour management.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups across KS1 and KS2.
• Assist with lesson planning and adapting resources with the class teacher.
• Help students regulate emotions and build resilience; re-engage with education.
• Use restorative practices to encourage positive behaviour.
• Work with therapists and staff in a holistic, trauma-informed environment.
