Job summary

Milk Education is seeking resilient SEMH/Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to work across Stockport and Tameside from September. You will support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage with learning and manage emotions.

Roles include one-to-one and small-group support in mainstream and specialist settings, with opportunities for long-term, short-term, full-time or part-time placements across the region.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behaviour or additional needs.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor, or Support Worker.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Support children with emotional regulation and managing challenging situations.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and learning.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence.
  • Support pupils to access classroom learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider pastoral teams.
  • Follow individual behaviour and support plans.
  • Contribute to a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.

Salary: £107.71 - £115 per day

Milk Education is seeking resilient, patient and dedicated SEMH / Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Stockport and Tameside from September.

We're looking to connect with experienced Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Learning Mentors and education professionals who are confident supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and behavioural challenges.

Opportunities may be available across mainstream primary schools, specialist settings and SEND provisions, supporting pupils who may require additional support with emotional regulation, behaviour, engagement and access to learning.

With a wide range of opportunities available, we're open to speaking with candidates looking for long-term, short-term, part-time, full-time, temporary or permanent positions.
