Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a SEMH & Behaviour Support Specialist for a specialist education setting in North Leeds. You will provide individual and small-group support to young people aged 11-18 with SEMH needs, building positive relationships and promoting engagement in learning.

Join a dedicated team and contribute to a calm, structured, nurturing environment with ongoing consultant support and potential long-term or permanent positions within specialist education settings.

Qualifications

• Experienced SEMH, Behaviour, Youth or Education Support professionals.
• Confident, patient and resilient individuals who can remain calm in challenging situations.
• Strong communicators who understand boundaries, consistency and positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for young people with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students and act as a positive role model.
• Support students to regulate their emotions and manage challenging behaviour.
• Implement individual behaviour and support strategies consistently.
• Encourage engagement with learning, routines and wider activities.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and other professionals to support individual needs.
• Help create a calm, structured and nurturing environment where young people feel safe and supported.
