Job summary

Aspire People Limited is working with several primary and specialist SEND schools across Stockport to appoint confident Behaviour Mentors and SEMH Teaching Assistants from September. You will work closely with pupils who may have SEMH needs, Autism or behavioural challenges, supporting them 1:1 or in small groups.

You will build positive relationships and help pupils access learning so they can thrive in class.

Qualifications

• Experience in education or youth work with SEMH is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people.
• Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups with SEMH needs, autism or behavioural challenges.
• Build positive relationships and promote emotional regulation to aid learning.
• Support pupils to access learning and achieve positive outcomes in school.
