Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of mainstream secondary schools across Central and South Bristol for SEMH Behaviour Mentors and Behaviour Support Assistants.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEMH, ASD/ADHD, and strong behaviour management, with the ability to build trust with students. Roles include 1:1 mentoring, pastoral support and classroom assistance across KS3/KS4, with potential long-term permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • 1:1 mentoring and pastoral support.
  • Behaviour and emotional regulation interventions.
  • Classroom support across KS3 and KS4.
  • Working within inclusion hubs and intervention spaces.
  • Helping students access learning and achieve positive outcomes.
