Job summary

Remedy Education is working with a welcoming SEMH primary school in Enfield to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to start ASAP. The role involves providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs and supporting IBPs, in a calm, child-centred environment.

You will work closely with teachers and the pastoral team, tracking pupil progress and contributing to behaviour reports. The school offers a long-term contract with full-time hours and a daily rate of £100-£130, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary or SEN school setting.
• Background supporting SEMH or behavioural challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Calm, proactive and empathetic approach.
• Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEMH pupils.
• Support pupils with Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).
• Use a calm, child-centred approach to manage behaviour.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and the pastoral team.
• Track pupil progress and contribute to behaviour reports.
