Job summary

A progressive educational recruitment agency is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support secondary students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in Barking & Dagenham. The ideal candidate will possess strong behaviour management skills and a calm approach to mentoring. This full-time, long-term position starts in September with a pay rate starting from £95/day. Qualifications

• Experience in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
• Experience delivering small group interventions focusing on resilience.

Responsibilities

• Support KS3 and KS4 pupils with their needs.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies.
• Build relationships to motivate students.

Skills

Experience supporting students with SEMH or challenging behaviour

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Calm, consistent approach

Previous youth work or mentoring experience
