Job summary

Academics Ltd. is seeking a Behaviour Mentor / SEMH Supply Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Doncaster partner schools. You’ll help children regulate emotions, re-engage with learning and build confidence for success.

The role offers flexible days and is paid per day with holiday pay, dependent on experience. Starting ASAP, this position provides a pathway to permanent roles through temp-to-perm opportunities, with strong support from a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour in school, care, or youth-work settings.
• A TA qualification is desirable, but not essential.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and strong references.
• A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs across partner schools in Doncaster.
• Help pupils regulate their emotions, re-engage with learning and build confidence to succeed.
