Job summary

Principal Education is seeking hard working and resilient educators to work as Behaviour Mentors and Learning Support Assistants in PRUs, behavioural units and SEMH provision across Redbridge, Ilford and East London. These roles are full time (Mon-Fri) with immediate starts and pathways into permanent roles.

You will provide targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs, ADHD or autism, often 1:1 or in small groups, both in classroom and as a mentor, with emphasis on emotional and social

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN and behavioural challenges.
• Patience, empathy, composure and diligence.
• Resilience and the confidence to stay calm when a situation escalates.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application.
• Overseas police clearance if you have lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years.
• Based in London or within a commutable distance.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support and guidance for pupils with significant behavioural, emotional and academic needs.
• Work 1:1 or in very small groups, both inside the classroom and in a mentorship capacity.
