Security Vetting Support Officer

UK Defence Sector | Full-time | Bolton

Guidant Global is partnering with a leading UK Ministry of Defence client to find a proactiveSecurity Vetting Support Officer. You'll be the first line of defence in managing personnel risk and supporting the implementation of the organisation’s vetting strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support recruitment by managing security clearances for new hires
• Handle confidential vetting enquiries and liaise with UKSV & external agencies
• Maintain vetting records and lead on departmental projects
• Be the go-to contact for vetting issues and support wider security services

What Do You Need?:

• Strong communication, integrity, and attention to detail
• Experience with vetting databases and multi-platform IT systems
• Ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and work under pressure
• Eligible for BPSS and national security vetting

Desirable:

• Knowledge of MOD/defence vetting processes
• Experience in onboarding within the defence sector
• Personnel security awareness and training delivery skills
