Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a vigilant Team Leader to supervise security operations in London. The role requires leading daytime coverage, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and ensuring adherence to security protocols to protect staff, visitors and assets.

The successful candidate will supervise a team, deliver training under the Security Manager, and maintain high standards of professionalism and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work the shift pattern.
• Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
• Reliability including punctuality and attendance to ensure team effectiveness.
• Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports when necessary.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Previous Team Leader experience preferred.
• SIA – DS & CCTV vetting requirement.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for team supervision during working hours, implementing protocols laid out by the Security Manager and the business.
• Lead the security operation OOH and in the absence of the Security Manager.
• Conduct regular team welfare checks.
• Deliver training as directed by the Security Manager.
• Maintain a polite, courteous, and friendly manner towards the public, the client, and colleagues.
• Remain alert and vigilant to activity on the site to minimise risks and report to Supervisor/Manager; alert police if emergency.
• Investigate fire alarm indicators in the buildings and respond per site procedure.

About The Role

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

What We Are Looking For

• Have the ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary

• Previous Team Leader experience would be preferential.

• Please note that, successful candidates will be required to undergo periodic vetting checks during their employment. This is not a full vetting process, but a routine credit and directorship check and carried out every three years to ensure ongoing compliance with our security standards.
