Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Relief Security Officer to cover sites across Manchester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham on a zero-hours basis, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. The role involves patrolling, monitoring CCTV and access points, responding to incidents, and producing detailed reports.

You will support emergencies, adapt to multiple client sites, and work within a diverse, supportive team. Candidates should hold a DS SIA Licence, have security experience, and demonstrate strong

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence.
• Proven experience in a security role or similar position.
• Strong observational skills with ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to travel around Manchester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere.
• Conducting regular patrols and monitoring premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft or vandalism.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures.
• Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents with appropriate action.
• Completing detailed reports on daily activities, incidents and security concerns.
• Assisting in emergencies, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites; no two days are the same.
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns.
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team.

What we are looking for:
