Job summary

Wilson James in London is hiring a Security Officer to safeguard staff, visitors and assets. You will patrol premises, monitor access points and CCTV, respond to incidents and maintain calm, professional conduct at all times.

You must hold a current DS SIA Licence, have proven security experience, strong observation and communication skills, and be flexible to work 4 on/2 off shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Welcome staff and visitors and maintain a safe, professional environment.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
• Monitor access points, CCTV and security procedures.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents and take appropriate action.
• Complete detailed daily activity, incident and security concern reports.
• Assist in emergencies including evacuations and first aid where required.
• Adapt to different client sites and work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: £14.80 per hour

About The Role

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
• Conducting regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team
