Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Security Team Leader at Unilever Seacroft in Leeds to safeguard colleagues, visitors and contractors, combining frontline security with people leadership.

You’ll manage the security team, oversee access control, conduct patrols and respond to incidents, while ensuring accurate reports and handovers and maintaining site safety procedures. Appointment is subject to vetting and a valid SIA license.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA front line licence for manned guarding.
• Previous security experience within a commercial or industrial environment.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• IT literacy and experience completing reports and maintaining records.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Appointment is subject to the required security vetting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the security team, ensuring daily duties are completed to a high standard.
• Oversee access control, helping ensure only authorised people and vehicles enter the site.
• Carry out and coordinate security patrols, identifying and reporting potential risks.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally, following site procedures and escalating concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate incident reports, handover notes and security records.
• Communicate clearly with the site management team, colleagues, visitors and contractors.
• Support team briefings and reinforce site security, health and safety procedures.
