Job summary

SSR Contract & Technical is seeking a Global Switch Security Service Engineer to provide professional engineering expertise and excellent customer service during maintenance of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Intercom systems across multiple sites.

You will fault-find and repair PC/Network based and analogue security systems, work with various operating systems, and liaise with senior engineers. The role includes after-hours support and opportunities to develop through training.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Access control / CCTV / Intercom / Intruder systems.
• Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of digital electronics principles.
• Health and Safety
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP and network fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provide fault finding and repairs of PC/Network based and analogue security systems.
• Fault finding and repair with CCTV operating systems from small to large multi-site installations.
• Fault finding and repair with Access Control, Intruder, Intercom systems across sites.
• Understand fibre optic transmission systems, LAN/WAN networks and radio telemetry.
• Provide emergency solutions when operating out of hours as per rota.
• Collaborate with all parts of the business to meet customer expectations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to business activities.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through training.
