Job summary

SSR C&T, based in Reading, is seeking a Security Service Engineer to maintain CCTV, intruder, and access control systems, including some installation and commissioning work. The role requires methodical fault diagnosis across analogue and network-based platforms and strong customer service under deadline pressure.

You will travel between sites, apply high-end software for root-cause analysis, and keep up-to-date technical knowledge through training.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent proven experience.
• Knowledge of Access control / CCTV / Intercom / Intruder systems.
• Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of digital electronics principles and systems.
• Health and Safety
• Microsoft OS knowledge
• TCP/IP and network fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Provide fault finding and repairs for CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control systems.
• Fault finding on PC/Network based and analogue security systems using high-end software.
• Collaborate with engineers and provide out-of-hours support as needed.
• Travel between sites to perform servicing and commissioning.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through training.
