Logistics People are recruiting SIA Licenced Security Officers on behalf of Logistics Security to join our team.

Location: WR9, TF2, TF9, and SY5

Shift Pattern: Shifts may vary but are primarily 12 hours: 06:00 – 18:00, 07:00 – 19:00, 18:00 – 06:00, and 19:00 – 07:00

As a leading agency in the security industry, Logistics Security specialises in sourcing and deploying security personnel and solutions nationwide. Working with over 200 extensively trained Security Personnel during peak periods, we focus on developing and implementing comprehensive security supply chain strategies. Our operations involve delivering security resolutions to major Logistics providers across an extensive depot network, spread over 50 sites in the UK, ensuring their operation runs smoothly 24/7.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Support Officer to join our team, working within our Warehouse and Distribution depots, supporting our existing clients. You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high-quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.

Brief overview of the role:

• Supporting multiple busy sites that operate 365 days a year, requiring computer literacy, a good telephone manner, and a positive customer service approach.
• Supporting with the cover of absences primarily across 4 sites: WR9, TF2, TF9, and SY5.
• Due to site locations, a full driving license and own vehicle are required; travel expenses will be paid back and processed monthly.
• 42-hour week, typically 3-4 x 12-hour shifts across a 7-day week, including weekends. Shifts will vary and include days and nights, requiring flexibility.
• Premiums paid for Bank Holiday working. Overtime available.
• Options of weekly or monthly pay.
• SIA License renewal and top courses covered after a successful 6-month probation period.

The role includes supporting multiple sites, with training provided, and duties such as:

• Supporting site visits
• Access and egress control
• Reception duties: signing in visitors and contractors, answering phones
• Monitoring CCTV
• Accepting deliveries
• Weighbridge operation
• Key control
• Pool car bookings
• Completing relevant company and client paperwork

Our ideal candidate:

• Previous security industry experience (at least 1 year)
• Good verbal and written English skills
• PC literate, proficient in Office365 (Excel, email)
• SIA Licence (SG/DS) required
• UK driving license and access to own vehicle required
• First aid certification preferred
• Flexible and able to work various shifts, sometimes at short notice
• Physically fit and able to patrol on foot
• Maintain high personal presentation standards
• High punctuality and attendance standards to ensure team effectiveness
