Job summary

Day Lewis Plc is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to lead a 24/7 security operation at its Croydon distribution site. The role oversees a team of Security Officers, ensuring protection of employees, visitors, products and assets while maintaining high standards of security, safety and compliance.

You will manage CCTV monitoring, access control, incident investigations and reporting, coordinating external cover when needed and driving continuous improvements in security processes.

Day Lewis Plc are looking for an experienced Security Officer to lead and oversee a 24/7 security operation within a busy pharmaceutical distribution environment.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Security Supervisor to manage the day‑to‑day security function, providing leadership and operational oversight to a team of Security Officers. This role is responsible for protecting employees, visitors, pharmaceutical products, premises and company assets, while ensuring the highest standards of security, compliance and safety are maintained at all times.

Working closely with the Loss Prevention Manager, you will oversee security operations, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident investigations, loss prevention activities and emergency response procedures. You will also manage the Security Officer rota, coordinate external security cover when required, and ensure seamless security coverage across a 24/7 operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Security Officers to deliver effective 24/7 site security coverage.
• Manage daily security operations, patrols, shift handovers and site security standards.
• Oversee access control, visitor management, ID cards, keys and restricted‑area access.
• Coordinate annual leave and absence cover, including liaison with external security providers.
• Conduct and support security investigations, searches and loss prevention activities.
• Monitor CCTV systems and maintain accurate incident records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and relevant legislation.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms and business continuity incidents.
• Produce regular security reports and recommend improvements to security processes and systems.
• Provide coaching, guidance and training to Security Officers, promoting a positive security culture.

About You

• Previous experience in a Security Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing security teams in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control systems and incident management.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience conducting investigations and producing detailed reports.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and security management systems.
• Valid SIA Licence essential.
• Professional, reliable and able to remain calm under pressure.
