Job summary

Get Staff in the North West is seeking a Service & Small Works Security Engineer. This role is predominantly security-focused, covering servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and small works rather than large-scale installations.

You will work directly with customers, take ownership of technical issues and deliver high standards of workmanship, with a 40-hour week and 1-in-5 standby rota. Salary is £40,000–£45,000 basic.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with security systems, strong fault-finding ability.
• Solid experience in servicing, maintenance, repairs and small works.
• Basic fire alarm experience required; extensive fire experience not essential.
• A vocational qualification or manufacturer training is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair works across security systems.
• Complete small works and modifications, ensuring systems are fully operational and compliant.
• Attend reactive callouts on a 1-in-5 standby rota.
