Job summary

4way Recruitment is seeking a Security Service and Small Works Engineer to work in the Stockport area. You will install, service and commission Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems for commercial, residential and public sites, diagnosing faults and delivering on-site and remote support as needed.

This role requires a minimum of five years’ experience, a full UK driving licence, and eligibility for enhanced security screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience commissioning and servicing Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence (clean licence preferred).
• Must be eligible for enhanced security screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and commission Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service on‑site and over the phone.
• Participate in the on‑call rota.

Salary Bracket: £40,000
On target earnings (OTE): £50,000+

• Basic Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
• Travel Time Paid: Door to Door Travel
• Annual Leave: 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Overtime: Monday‑Friday, standard rate; Saturday, time & half; Sunday, double time

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service and commission Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Provide excellent customer service on‑site and over the phone
• Participate in the on‑call rota

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience commissioning and servicing Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems
• Ability to work independently across multiple sectors (commercial, residential, public, retail)
• Strong fault‑finding and system servicing skills
• Full UK Driving Licence (clean licence preferred)
• Must be eligible for enhanced security screening
• Experience working with Lenel, CCure, Gallagher and similar panels
• Desirable (not essential): Experience working with Kantech and CEM AC2000 systems
