Job summary

Experis UK is seeking an experienced Security Platform Engineer on a permanent basis to join a high-profile organisation. The role focuses on cloud security platforms, Kubernetes security, RBAC, network policies, and CWPP.

You will deploy and manage SIEM, IDS/IPS, and cloud security tools, develop monitoring and logging strategies, and lead forensic investigations and automation to improve security operations.

Qualifications

• Experience within security engineering, DevSecOps or platform engineering.
• Experience with Kubernetes security (including workload isolation), RBAC, Network policies, containerisation and Kubernetes observability tools.
• Experience with technical troubleshooting (Python, Go or Bash).
• GSEC, CISSP, CISM, OSCP will prove beneficial.
• SC Cleared (DV Clearance is advantage).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud security platform tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and CWPP.
• Develop and implement security monitoring and logging strategies.
• Investigate and analyse security incidents, including identifying root causes, determining the scope of impact, and taking appropriate containment and remediation actions.
• Perform forensic analysis to identify and investigate suspicious activity.
• Automate security tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
