Wilson James is seeking a Security Officer Supervisor to provide a strong security presence, manage patrols, and respond to incidents at a site in Port Talbot, Wales. The role requires vigilance, excellent observation, and calm decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

• DS SIA Licence required and valid to work on site.
• Proven security experience and ability to respond to incidents.
• Strong observation and situational awareness.

• Flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• CSCS card and driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible proactive security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• Operate internal/external security patrols on a regular basis, becoming familiar with site layout, buildings and processes.
• Maintain key logbooks and administrative tasks at the security/reception desk, including daily paperwork and reporting.
• Be fully conversant with the site layout and aware of threats and challenges.
• Book delivery vehicles on/off site using Datascope tablets in the holding areas.

About The Role

• Provide a highly visible proactive security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• To operate internal / external security patrols on a regular basis ensuring familiarity of site layout, building and processes.
• Upkeep of key logbook and other administrative tasks pertaining to the security/reception desk and workload activities – archiving daily paperwork, clear reporting writing, IT movement, records, etc
• Be fully conversant with the layout of the site and be aware of threats and challenges faced by the site.
• Booking delivery vehicles on/off site using the Datascope tablets in the vehicle holding areas.

What We Are Looking For

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• CSCS card
• Drivers licence
