Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Relief Security Officer to cover core team absences, holidays and other gaps at client sites in Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham. The role involves welcoming staff and visitors, patrolling premises, monitoring CCTV, responding to alarms and incidents, and producing detailed reports to ensure safety and security across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence.
• Able to travel around Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham.
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere.
• Conducting regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

We are seeking someone to join us as a Relief Security Officer to help cover the core team's absence, holidays etc, and maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and assets. What We Are Looking For

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence
• Able to travel around Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
