Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Security Officer Supervisor for the Port Talbot, Wales area. This permanent role offers Mon-Fri hours with possible weekend work and pay at £18.00 per hour.

The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, patrolling premises, responding to incidents, and upholding security protocols to protect staff, visitors and assets. The ideal candidate will possess a current DS SIA Licence, CSCS card, and a valid driver’s licence, with a proven security background and

• Must hold a valid DS SIA Licence and CSCS card.
• Proven experience in a security role or similar.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible proactive security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• To operate internal / external security patrols on a regular basis ensuring familiarity of site layout, building and processes.
• Upkeep of key logbook and other administrative tasks pertaining to the security/reception desk and workload activities – archiving daily paperwork, clear reporting writing, IT movement, records, etc
• Be fully conversant with the layout of the site and be aware of threats and challenges faced by the site.
• Booking delivery vehicles on/off site using the Datascope tablets in the vehicle holding areas.

About the Role:

What we are looking for:

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressures situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• CSCS card
• Drivers licence
