Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Security Officer for an Aberdeen site on a permanent basis. The role covers monitoring premises, conducting patrols, responding to incidents and ensuring security protocols are upheld.

You will maintain a professional demeanour, communicate effectively with staff and visitors, and adapt to 4 on, 4 off days and nights. The successful candidate will hold a valid DS SIA licence, have security experience, strong observational skills and the ability to stay calm under

Qualifications

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence.
• Proven experience in a security role or similar.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a polite, courteous and friendly manner towards the public, the client and colleagues.
• Remain alert and vigilant to activity on the site to minimise risks and report to the Lead Officer/Security Management team.
• Report issues that compromise safety or security to the Lead Officer/Security Management team.
• Make enquiries and submit reports on incidents as instructed by the Lead Officer/Security Management team.
• Carry out duties including access control, mail examination, escorting, incident investigation as required.
• Prevent unauthorised persons from entering the premises.

About The Role

• Maintain a polite, courteous, and friendly manner towards the public, the client, and colleagues.
• Remain alert and vigilant to activity on the site to ensure risks are minimised through prompt action and reporting to the Lead Officer / Security Management team.
• Reporting immediately to the Lead Officer / Security Management team any issues that arise which compromises safety or security.
• Make enquiries and submit reports on incidents as instructed by the Lead Officer / Security Management team.
• Carry out all other duties as required by the Lead Officer / Security Management team. These may include but are not limited to access control, mail examination, escorting, incident investigation.
• Prevent the admittance to the premises of unauthorised persons.
