Job summary

SGC Security Services Company are seeking dedicated Security Officers to join our team in Otterbourne, working on a permanent basis (48 Hours per Week). The role primarily outdoors in remote locations, protecting a water industry site including reservoirs and long patrols across varied terrain.

Monthly pay with overtime available and full uniform/PPE provided. Role requires SIA Licence (DS), First Aid, and a clear background check, with flexibility for 4 on 4 off day/night shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to ensure only authorised personnel enter the site.
• Conduct regular foot patrols across challenging terrain (10 km+ per shift).
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies.
• Operate and monitor security systems and access control software.
• Maintain high levels of situational awareness and assess on-site risks.
• De-escalate confrontational situations with professionalism.
• Liaise with management, emergency services, and stakeholders during escalated incidents.
• Ensure compliance with all security and safety protocols.
• Engage with members of the public courteously and professionally.

This role plays a vital part in protecting a critical water industry site, ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and essential infrastructure.
