Job summary

Amulet is seeking a security officer to provide professional and welcoming customer service to station visitors, contractors and travellers. You will manage gateline access, direct travellers, and assist in emergencies in line with site instructions.

The role requires clear communication, a minimum of one year in security, and a neat, professional appearance. Shift pattern is evenings with a strong emphasis on customer care, safety, and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• You have at least one year of security experience.
• You are customer service focused and able to handle diverse situations.
• You can communicate clearly and in written English.
• You have good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• You are IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office.

PAY RATE:

£13.44 per hour

HOURS:

Mon- Thur 1800-0600

THE ROLE:

To provide a professional and welcoming security customer service to station visitors, contractors and travellers. Providing direction and assistance as required, managing Gateline access and egress control, assisting in emergencies and evacuations, in compliance with the site Assignment Instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acting as a highly visible deterrent.
• Assisting members of the public and providing directions.
• Carrying out static and foot patrols;
• Controlling station access and egress.
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to.
• Providing a high level of customer service.
• Responding to onsite incidents and notifying the appropriate authorities.
• Reporting and recording onsite incidents.

SKILLS:

• You have at least one year of security experience.
• You are capable of dealing with a variety of situations and are very customer service-focused.
• You are able to communicate clearly and effectively, attaining a good standard of verbal and written English.
• You have good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• You are IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications.
• You are well-presented at all times.

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• You must have a current SIA security Licence.
• Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

• Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).
