Job summary

GCHQ is seeking a Security Officer to be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, ensuring safety and adherence to security procedures. You may work in the Security Control Room, monitor CCTV, or patrol grounds, carrying out searches where required and documenting incidents accurately.

Qualifications

• Security or customer service experience interacting daily with visitors and staff.
• English Language GCSE (or equivalent) with strong written and verbal skills.
• Basic IT and Microsoft Office skills to support incident logging.
• Ability to reliably commute for assigned shift times.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and staff entering buildings, monitor access and security processes.
• Assist in Security Control Room, CCTV monitoring, and incident logging.
• Respond to alarms and provide first aid if needed.
• Maintain clear incident logs and follow security policies.
