Job summary

Kingdom Services Group Ltd are seeking a Security Officer for Hestia Crystal Palace, Orwell House. You will maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, staff and property, acting as a visible security presence on site and following procedures.

The role requires a valid SIA Licence and Enhanced DBS Check, with 30 hours per week at £14.80 per hour. Shifts are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, 19:00–05:00.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA Security Licence is essential.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Previous security experience is desirable.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Professional, reliable, and self-motivated.
• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in challenging situations.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and security of the premises at all times.
• Controlling access and preventing unauthorised entry to the site.
• Completing site logbooks, records, and incident reports accurately.
• Conducting regular patrols of the building and surrounding areas.
• Monitoring site activity and responding to security incidents.
• Challenging and reporting suspicious behaviour when necessary.
• Supporting residents, visitors, and staff with a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Following all site-specific procedures, policies, and health and safety requirements.
• Maintaining effective communication with management and emergency services when required.
