Job summary

Kingdom Group is hiring a Security Officer for Sanctuary Dashwood House in Banbury (OX16 5AW). The role runs 30 hours per week on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night shift (22:00–08:00).

You will manage visitor sign-in, patrols, CCTV, and incident reporting, ensuring safety across the supported living site. Requirements include a valid SIA licence, 5-year checkable work history, and an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, contractors and staff.
• Sign visitors in and out.

• Report emergency maintenance issues and oversee contractor access.
• Carry out health and safety checks and ensure site procedures are followed.

Hours: 30 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Shift Times: 22:00 - 08:00
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

As a Security Officer at this supported living site, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, contractors and staff. Duties include acting as the first point of contact, signing visitors in and out, conducting regular patrols, monitoring CCTV systems, completing incident and handover reports, reporting emergency maintenance issues, overseeing contractor access, carrying out health and safety checks, and ensuring all site procedures are followed at all times.

Skills and Experience Required

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, a professional approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous security or concierge experience is desirable but not essential. Applicants must hold a valid SIA Licence, be able to provide a full 5-year checkable employment history, and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
