Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is seeking a Security Officer for a Teesport distribution centre. The role involves providing a visible security presence, enforcing safety policies, and supporting loss prevention. A valid SIA licence is required, and you must be 18 or older with strong communication skills.

Shifts are a mix of days and nights, and you will work as part of a large international security team, with training and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is required.
• Aged 18 or over and eligible to work in the UK.
• Confident communicator and team player with professional service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to enhance safety on client premises.
• Enforce company loss prevention policies and protect staff and visitors.
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site.
• Observe and report incidents using the proper reporting systems.
• Carry out duties assigned by the client or on-site manager.
• Maintain up-to-date site knowledge and monitor local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required.
• Keep the security base clean and tidy.
• Conduct yourself professionally, with uniform displayed and SIA licence visible.

Mixture of days and nights 05:00-17:00, 12:00-00:00 & 19:30-07:30 shifts

Your Time at Work

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn, and an SIA licence is clearly displayed
