Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Security Officer for a Northampton site. You’ll protect people, property and assets while delivering excellent customer service, following site procedures and maintaining high standards of integrity and vigilance.

The role includes patrols, CCTV monitoring, access control, visitor passes, and key management. You’ll log activities, assist with traffic management, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence is required.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a 5-year checkable history to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site; monitor alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct internal and external security patrols per instructions.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment; manage keys; unlock/lock duties.
• Maintain logs and issue passes for visitors and contractors.
• Provide guidance to staff, visitors and contractors while safeguarding premises.

As a Security Officer you will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Working in line with site procedures and customer requirements, you will maintain a safe and secure environment, demonstrating the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and professionalism at all times

The role as a Security Officer includes conducting internal and external patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling site access, issuing visitor passes, managing keys, and carrying out locking and unlocking duties. You will also maintain accurate records, support traffic and parking management, perform routine equipment checks, and respond appropriately to security incidents, lost property, and other site-related issues.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises
