Job summary

Vigilant Security in Newcastle is seeking a dynamic Security Officer for a full-time, permanent role. The position combines reception duties, customer service and on-site patrols, with emphasis on alertness and professional presentation.

You will engage with clients and visitors across each shift, maintain high security standards, and support site inspections while working as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• SIA DS licence is essential.
• Excellent communication & administration skills are required.
• Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
• Smart, well-groomed and confident.
• Customer care awareness is important.
• Telephone/switchboard skills are desirable.
• First Aid training is an advantage.
• IT literacy is an advantage.
• A full 5-year work/education history is needed.
• Driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

You will provide a professional, responsive and observant security presence. The Security Officer duties on this site are varied they will include elements of reception duties, as well as customer facing duties, patrolling and site inspections. Communication and Customer Service skills are essential for the job as you will engage with clients and visitors throughout each shift. A high quality of security will be given whilst staying alert to any potential risks or threats to the location, its assets and people., We currently employ 1000 members of staff across the UK and cover a range of security related services including manned guarding, mobile patrols and keyholding. High standards are embedded in the DNA of the company and we pride ourselves on delivering seamless service to our clients. We currently have an annual turnover of £45 million per annum and a forecast for continued growth throughout the next five years. Vigilant Security are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at our Newcastle Location on a full-time, permanent contract. This position may suit anyone who has previous experience within the Security, Hospitality or Customer Service Industry, or someone looking to start a new career. You must be able to work as part of a team and be able to carry out specific instructions set by the client. As an approved SIA ACS Contractor, Vigilant Security sit at the top 5% of security providers which benchmarks the high quality of procedures and training that all staff undergo.,
