Job summary

Vigilant Security is seeking a dedicated security professional for our New Malden site. The role covers day-to-day security and reception duties with a Monday–Friday schedule from 08:00 to 18:00 and occasional overtime.

A valid SIA licence and CCTV licence are required, and you will deliver excellent customer service while upholding the highest security standards. You will greet visitors, manage passes, and report incidents with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and professional presentation.
• Able to work Monday to Friday 08:00–18:00 with possible overtime.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and high security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm welcome to visitors and manage reception duties.
• Maintain high security awareness and perform patrols and inspections as instructed.
• Liaise with relevant personnel to report visitor arrivals and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with H&S policies and site procedures.
• Issue visitor passes and maintain accurate incident records.

Vigilant Security are offering an exciting opportunity for a security professional to join our expanding team, working with client in New Malden

Scope:

This role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, working between 08:00 and 18:00, with occasional overtime available. The pay rate is £14.80 per hour.

The successful candidate must hold a valid SIA licence and CCTV licence and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day security and reception functions at a strategically important site. The role requires maintaining a professional corporate image, delivering excellent customer service, and upholding the highest standards of security and professionalism.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Provide a prompt, polite and warm welcome to all visitors.

Anticipate clients' needs/problems before they arise and that their expectations are met and exceeded each day

Be seen as a visible customer focused professional greeting and engaging with visitors.

Provide a consistent professional service at all times.

Communicate visitor/client arrivals to the relevant person promptly.

Maintain a high security awareness at all times

Undertake patrols and inspections in accordance with management instructions.

Proficient use of relevant communications equipment will require candidate to have good communication skills.

Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to.

Ensuring that no un-authorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas.

Issue visitor passes using agreed processes and procedures

Maintaining an accurate record of any incidents that occur.
