Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Relief Security Officer to cover the core team’s absence, holidays and to help maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and assets at Hatfield. You will monitor premises, conduct regular patrols, respond to alarms and incidents, manage access points and CCTV, and complete detailed daily reports.

A current DS SIA licence and proven security experience are essential; flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a current DS SIA Licence.
• Proven experience in security roles or similar positions.
• Strong observational skills to identify security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff, visitors and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome staff and visitors and maintain a safe, professional environment.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft or vandalism.
• Monitor access points, CCTV and follow security procedures.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and security incidents, taking appropriate action.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents and security concerns.
• Assist in emergencies, including evacuations and first aid where required.
• Adapt to different client sites and work as part of a diverse team.

We are seeking someone to join us as a Relief Security Officer to help cover the core team's absence, holidays etc, and maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and assets. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring that security protocols are upheld at all times. About the Role:

What we are looking for:

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence
