Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a Security Officer at The Dolphin Shopping Centre, Poole. The role includes supporting site security and control room duties to ensure customer and staff safety, building and perimeter protection, and timely completion of assigned tasks.

The position requires SIA Licence (SG or DS), excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. A full-time, on-site role with a 4-on/4-off schedule and 42 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations and delivering reliable service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Operationally support in delivery of the agreed service level.
• Assist the team by fostering teamwork and cooperation and encouraging ideas.
• Support in delivery of SOPs and maintenance of documentation for the security team.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
• Promote a secure and safe working environment and continuous improvement of H&S actions.
• Complete incident reports focusing on quality and timely reporting.
• Ensure professional handling of complaints.
• Build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the Company and Client.
• Ensure equipment provided to assist security is fully operational and reported if issues arise.
• Liaise with Centre Management Team and Security Supervisor.

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Supportingthe siteas a security officer& control room dutiestoensure safetyofcustomers,buildingsandpersonnel.

Tosupporttheoperationofthebuildingandensuringexceptionalserviceisprovidedandensurethatallassignedtasksarecompletedinaprofessionalandtimelymanneradheringtoall relevantlegislation.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Operationallysupport indeliveryoftheagreedservicelevel.

• Assisttheteambyfosteringteamspiritandco-operation,theencourage open expressionofdifferingideas andopinionsandensuringresolution.

• Support indeliveryof SOP'sandmaintenanceofappropriatedocumentationsets acrossthe security Team.

• AssistinmaintainingcompliancewithallHealth& Safety legislation.

• Promoteasecureandsafeworkingenvironmentonsitethroughtheimplementationandcontinuous improvementofagreedHealthandSafetyactions

• CompletetherequiredIncidentreportsintheevent ofanincident,focusingonqualityandtimelyreporting.

• Ensurethat any complaints aredealtwithin aprofessionalandtimelymanner.

• Toestablishandmaintainsatisfactoryrelationshipswithindividualsat alllevelswithintheCompany andtheClient organisation.
