Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Security Officer to provide a professional security service aligned with site instructions, protecting people, property and assets. The role emphasizes excellent customer service while upholding Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

From day one, you’ll have access to Learning and Development opportunities and various benefits. Working days include shifts across days, nights and weekends, with a valid SIA licence required for start.

Qualifications

• 5-year checkable history with evidence of employment, education or self-employment.
• Valid SIA Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• First Aid qualification.
• Aged 18+ with no unspent criminal convictions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, professional and flexible to work days, nights and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• Previous security officer or gatehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols and security checks to protect people, property, and assets.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Manage site access for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and security concerns.
• Carry out locking and unlocking duties.
• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security records.
• Support health and safety compliance across the site.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a professional, welcoming presence.
• Follow all site procedures, assignment instructions, and security protocols.
• Uphold Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times.

As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional security service in line with site instructions and customer requirements to protect people, property, and assets. The Security Officer will deliver excellent customer service while upholding Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. The Security Officer must hold a valid SIA Licence before commencing operational duties.

• Conduct patrols and security checks to protect people, property, and assets.
