Job summary

Securitas is recruiting a Security Officer in Winchester to provide a professional security service at the site, ensuring protection of people, property, and assets. The role requires a valid SIA licence and at least 2 years of security experience, with a full UK driving licence and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

You will deliver excellent customer service while upholding Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, maintaining a strong security presence, and responding

• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable employment and address history.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to obtain SC (Security Clearance).

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular security patrols and site inspections.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Prevent unauthorised access and maintain site security.
• Manage keys, passes, and visitor access.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and evacuations.
• Report hazards, incidents, and security concerns.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and handovers.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and site procedures.

To provide a professional security service at the assigned location in accordance with site assignment instructions and customer requirements, ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets. The successful Security Officer will consistently deliver exceptional customer service while demonstrating the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. As a Security Officer, you will maintain a strong security presence while responding effectively to incidents and supporting site operations. Please note that a valid SIA licence must be obtained before commencing operational duties.
