Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Security Officer for a weekend-only role at our Macclesfield site. Training will be required on weekday evenings initially.

You will help protect people and property, monitor access, CCTV and alarms, and support safety programs within a great, values-driven team. Applicants should hold a valid SIA licence, have a UK work right with a 5-year checkable history, and demonstrate strong customer service skills along with IT literacy and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• High level of customer service.
• IT literate and able to use common IT tools.
• Good written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
• Monitor alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct security patrols and report findings.
• Manage vehicle access and parking as required.
• Issue passes and manage visitor registration.
• Maintain logs and follow assignment instructions.

This is a weekend-only position. However, successful applicants will need to be available for training during weekday evenings (nights) initially.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
• Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Driving Licence and access to own vehicle due to site location.
• High Level of Customer Service.
