Job summary

Samsic UK Security is seeking a Security Officer for an on-site role in Stoke-on-Trent. The role requires maintaining a smart, alert security presence and delivering high-quality customer service while covering day and night shifts on a 4on 4off pattern.

Salary is £13.12 per hour. You will need an SIA Licence and full right to work in the UK, plus strong English skills and a history check. Full-time permanent; training and progression available.

Qualifications

• Current SIA Licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK for 12 months.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Five-year checkable history (HMRC 3 Year Work History).

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet clients and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Answer enquiries and provide accurate information.
• Manage and monitor all security control base systems.
• Maintain vigilance and a professional security presence.
• Produce precise reports as required.
• Liaise between client and Samsic UK Security Contract Manager.
• Represent Samsic UK Security and the client with professionalism.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and customer care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and basic numeracy/literacy.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join our team in Cauldon, Stoke-on-Trent. The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and professional security service to Samsic UK Security's clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of Customer Service; presenting at all times a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence. Flexibility is vital as you will be required to work day and night shifts (weekdays, weekends, Bank Holidays) between 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00 on 4on 4off shift pattern.

Salary & Hours:

• Pay Rate: £13.12
• Average Weekly Hours: 42 hrs pw
• Contracted Hours: 42 hrs pw
• Employee Status: Permanent/ Full Time

Duties will include:

• "Meet and Greet"
• Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally
• Manage all systems within the security control base
• Ensure a vigilance, professional presence
• Produce accurate reports as and when needed
• Be an effective liaison between the client and the company Contract Manager
• Be an effective ambassador for Samsic UK Security and the client
• Excellent verbal communication skills, pleasant manner, approachable, clearly spoken
• Excellent customer care skills
• Have a good knowledge of Health & Safety
• Possesses computer literacy of at least a basic level
• Demonstrates basic numeracy and literacy skills for following instructions and preparing reports
• Demonstrates good observation skills
• Demonstrates a flexible attitude to changing working hours and patterns

In order to work for Samsic UK you MUST fulfil the following criteria:

• Current SIA Licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
• Have an unrestricted right to work full time in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Have a five-year checkable history (Providing a HMRC 3 Year Work History record at your interview)
