Job summary

Samsic UK Security invites applications for a Night Security Officer in Carlisle. The role provides a professional security service to clients, with a smart and alert presence and a strong focus on customer care.

The position operates on a 4on 4off night pattern between 18:00 and 06:00. You will need an SIA license, English fluency, and a good HMRC 3-year work history check. Pay includes a first 48 hours rate, with rise after 48 hours.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required for verbal and written communication.
• SIA Licence for Door Supervisor or Security Guarding is essential.
• UK right to work for at least 12 months is mandatory.
• Five-year checkable history with HMRC 3-year work history may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Meet and Greet with clients and visitors.
• Answer enquiries courteously and professionally.
• Manage all security systems within the control base.
• Maintain a vigilant, professional presence on shift.
• Produce accurate reports as needed.
• Liaise between the client and Samsic UK Security Contract Manager.
• Act as an ambassador for Samsic UK Security and the client.
• Demonstrate good communication and customer care.
• Maintain basic computer literacy.
• Demonstrate numeracy and literacy for reports.
• Show flexibility with changing hours and patterns.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Security Officer to join our team in Carlisle.

The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and professional security service to Samsic UK Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of Customer Service; presenting at all times a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence.

** Flexibility is vital as you will be required to work nights on 4on 4off shift pattern between 18:00 and 06:00 **

• Pay Rate: £13.23 (first 48 hours) and £16.54 (hours above 48) in one calendar week
• Average Weekly Hours: 42 hrs pw
• Contracted Hours: 42 hrs pw
• Employee Status: Permanent/ Full Time

Duties will include:

• “Meet and Greet”
• Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally
• Manage all systems within the security control base
• Ensure a vigilance, professional presence
• Produce accurate reports as and when needed
• Be an effective liaison between the client and the company Contract Manager
• Be an effective ambassador for Samsic UK Security and the client
• Excellent verbal communication skills, pleasant manner, approachable, clearly spoken
• Excellent customer care skills
• Have a good knowledge of Health & Safety
• Possesses computer literacy of at least a basic level
• Demonstrates basic numeracy and literacy skills for following instructions and preparing reports
• Demonstrates good observation skills
• Demonstrates a flexible attitude to changing working hours and patterns

In order to work for Samsic UK you MUST fulfil the following criteria:

• Current SIA Licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
• Have an unrestricted right to work full time in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Have a five-year checkable history (Providing a HMRC 3 Year Work History record at your interview)
