Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, is recruiting a Security Officer to join the Crewe site. You will perform gatehouse duties, manage access control, patrol the site by foot and vehicle, and respond to incidents in line with regulatory standards.

The role requires an SIA licence, strong English communication, and flexibility to work days on a 3 on/3 off shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:00. A competitive benefits package includes pension, life assurance, healthcare, eyecare, and uniform provision.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join the G4S team, working in Crewe.

Position: Security Officer

Location: Crewe

Pay Rate: £13.96 per hour

Shifts: Days, 3 on 3 off, 06:00am - 18:00pm

SIA Licence is required.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer your duties will include:

• Gatehouse duties
• Access Controls
• Site patrols on foot and using a vehicle
• Control Room duties
• Incident response
• Maintenance of records and logs

No two days are the same on site-you might be handling a medical emergency one day and demonstrating a contingency exercise to a regulator the next.

Requirements

• Communicate confidently at all levels in both written and spoken English.
• Follow specific procedures and instructions accurately.
• Have experience in utilising IT and computer systems efficiently.
• Undertake shift work flexibly as required.
• Fit and able.
• Conduct high-vigilance internal and external patrols to ensure the integrity of the site.
• Managing complex access control for staff, contractors, and visitors in line with strict regulatory standards.
• Respond to incidents with precision and teamwork following elite standards.
• Serve as a professional ambassador for both G4S and our client, delivering service excellence at all times.
• Finally, you must be continuously focused on providing excellent service to our customers by being efficient, flexible and security-conscious at all times
