Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to help protect people, property and information across client sites in the United Kingdom. You’ll conduct patrols, monitor alarms, control access and respond to incidents in line with site instructions.

You’ll need a valid SIA licence, a UK work right and excellent communication in English. Driving licence is helpful but not essential; flexibility to work days, nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Flexible to work days, nights and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site and monitor alarms/CCTV.
• Carry out external and internal security patrols per site instructions.
• Manage traffic flow and enforce parking restrictions when required.
• Conduct routine tests of security equipment as appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties per instructions.
• Ensure security equipment and logs are maintained according to procedures.
• Keep accurate records and logbooks as required by instructions.
• Issue visitor and contractor passes as directed.
• Handle lost property according to procedures.

Job Description

You'll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Carry out external and internal security patrols in line with the Assignment Instructions.
• Manage traffic flow and enforce parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and carry out locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure all customer and Securitas equipment is managed in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as required by the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor and contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Handle lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
