Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Security Officer to help keep people, property and information safe across sites in the United Kingdom. You will monitor alarms, patrol areas, manage access, and support staff and contractors.

The role requires a valid SIA licence where possible, a UK driving licence, good English communication, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Training is provided where needed, and you will join a diverse, service‑minded team.

Qualifications

• SIA licence preferred; training can be provided.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Customer service skills.
• Physically fit to patrol the site.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Deal with lost property.
• Provide support and information to staff, visitors and contractors.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions. Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors
