Job summary

Qualifications

• Band 3 Security Receptionist role in Maidstone requires handling security and reception duties.
• Ability to perform identity checks and monitor alarms and radios.

Responsibilities

• Present a professional and courteous image to all patients, staff and visitors entering and exiting the unit.
• Ensure an identity check takes place for all persons wishing to enter or exit the unit, and comply with security equipment, including regular checks of alarms and radios.
• Maintaining responsibility for the Reception Desk, airlock system and monitor.
• Ensure that only authorised visitors are granted admission to the unit, and all records of staff and visitors are kept up to date.
• Ensure that all visitors are directed to and reminded of prohibited items before they enter the airlock/secure areas.
• Ensure all visitors and returning patients are searched in accordance with secure guidelines.
• Any potential security breach is reported to the Head of Security, or Out of Hours Security On Call.
